About Pawsomeshots

Hi, I’m Ryan McBride, the photographer and founder of Pawsomeshots. For the past 7 years, I’ve been behind the lens, capturing meaningful moments—but my heart has led me to focus on something truly special: dogs being themselves.

There’s nothing quite like photographing a dog in their element—whether it’s racing across the sand, chasing a favorite toy, or simply sitting with that unmistakable look of loyalty and love.

My goal is to take those candid, joyful moments and turn them into stunning, tangible art for your home. At Pawsomeshots, I believe your dog deserves more than just a spot on your camera roll—they deserve a place on your wall. As printed wall art makes a strong comeback, I offer custom prints, photo albums, and photo blocks that bring your dog’s personality to life in a way the whole household can enjoy every day.

I’m based in San Diego, California, but I’m always up for an adventure and happy to travel to capture your pup wherever they feel most at home.

 FAQs

  • Your session fee of $199 is due at the time of booking, but digitals, wall art and other products are selected and purchased after your photo reveal appointment!

  • That’s totally fine! Most pets I photograph are on-leash. I’ll edit it out in post. I work with all kinds of dogs, from high-energy pups to shy rescues. I will work with you and your pup until we get the shot! Safety is my number 1 priority!

  • Each session is tailored to your pet. I offer outdoor sessions in beautiful, pet-safe locations, or we can choose a calmer, less populated area if your pet needs more space.

  • Sessions typically run 60–90 minutes, but there’s no strict time limit. I work at your pet’s pace to ensure they’re comfortable and having fun. Again, I will work with you until we get the shots we want!

  • You’ll be shown at least 20 fully captured images during your reveal and ordering appointment, with a variety of poses, expressions, and backgrounds. These are very useful for when you purchase a photo album!

  • You’ll receive your digital proofs within 3–5 business days when you purchase a photo package and your selected prints and wall art within 2–4 weeks, or sooner! depending on the product. Prints Purchased have an option to be delivered to your door or we can set an appointment for me to deliver them to you for an additional fee.

  • I offer a variety of premium products, including Professional Digital Shots for your phone, Metal framed prints, Metal wall art, and Albums, in addition to Acrylic Photo Blocks all professionally printed and ready to hang giving you lasting memories for years to come!

  • While dogs are my specialty and most frequented clients, I prefer to capture just dogs for now In addition to having YOU in the photoshoot as well!
